Today: George Bilgere to appear on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion
John Carroll University English professor, George Bilgere, will appear on the popular radio show, A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, on Saturday, December 10. The live broadcast, which can be heard on public radio stations across the country, will take place from the historic Town Hall in New York. Locally, it will air at 6 p.m. on WCPN (90.3 FM) and WKSU (89.7 FM).
Bilgere is the author of the collections, The White Museum, Haywire and The Good Kiss. His work has been awarded grants, fellowships, and recognition from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fulbright Foundation, the Society of Midland Authors, and the Ohio Arts Council, as well as a Pushcart Prize.
