Luncheon Lecture with Rev. Fernando Cardenal, S.J., on the Nicaraguan Revolution and the Jesuit Martyrs

As part of the University’s commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the martyrs of El Salvador, the Office of Mission and Identity invites the JCU community and friends to a lunchtime lecture by Rev. Fernando Cardenal, S.J., titled “My Life as a Jesuit Priest in the Nicaraguan Revolution & Reflections on the Jesuit Martyrs.” The luncheon lecture will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the LSC Conference Room. Lunch will start at noon and Father Cardenal will begin speaking by 12:20 p.m.

Rev. Cardenal is an internationally respected Jesuit priest who has dedicated his life to the poor of Nicaragua. His inspiring story is one of courage, solidarity, and hope. He will speak in Spanish, and his colleague will translate into English.
