Women’s and Gender Studies Explores Comics

Please join us on Thursday, March 26, as Valentino Zullo offers two different lectures on comics at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. At 11:00 a.m., Mr. Zullo will discuss “Women Warriors: The Emergence and Renaissance of the Female Superhero.” In his second lecture at 2:00 p.m., Mr. Zullo will present “Transnational Comics: Comics in a Global Context.” Valentino Zullo holds a Master of Arts in English and Women’s Studies from Bowling Green State University, where he studied Comics as Literature. He is currently a student at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. Both lectures will take place in Room A202 of the Dolan Science Center.
