On Thursday, August 25, all first-year students will be participating in a program called “Living the Mission,” during which they will be engaging in a variety of activities with the goal of seeing the John Carroll mission in action – through learning, leadership, service, and spirituality.
About 150 of the incoming class will be “Exploring Cleveland” by visiting museums and historic sites throughout the region to get a better understanding of the culture and heritage of the Cleveland area. These excursions will begin with an on-campus send-off address at 8:30 a.m., with the trips leaving at 9 a.m. and returning to campus in the afternoon.
We are looking for interested faculty and staff to participate in these excursions along with our students and the trip coordinators. This is a great way to welcome our first-year students and begin to build relationships with the newest members of our campus community.
If you are interested in participating or have more questions about helping with these excursions, please contact Kyle O’Dell, director of orientation and leadership programs, at kodell@jcu.edu.
