FSA’s: Connect with students during the Cleveland Neighborhood Project!

We are looking for interested faculty and staff to join the Class of 2015 as they serve in the Hough neighborhood on August 25, 2011. FSA volunteers are needed to participate in the Cleveland Neighborhood Project along with incoming students and the student service leaders. This is a chance to welcome and introduce the service mission of JCU to our first-year students and begin to build relationships with the newest members of our campus community.

The Cleveland Neighborhood Project is an opportunity for FSA’s to accompany current JCU student mentors and teams of first-year students as they perform outdoor work on houses in the Hough neighborhood or work on projects at the Fatima Family Center.

The day will begin with an on-campus send-off address at 8:30 a.m., with the buses leaving at 9 a.m. and returning to campus in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided at Fatima and FSA’s will be encouraged to engage with both students and area residents.

If you are interested in participating or have more questions about helping with this project, please contact Liz Deegan at
