The Center for Faculty Development and the Center for Digital Media are pleased to announce the inaugural Teaching Technology Lunch on Thursday, September 29, at noon in the Center for Digital Media in the Grasselli Library.
Luigi Ferri and Jeff LaFavre will be discussing their experiences using iPads as teaching tools and demonstrating some of the pedagogical possibilities of these devices. Lunch will be provided; please R.S.V.P. to Marianne Cicirelli (firstname.lastname@example.org or extension 4425) by September 27.
On Thursday, October 6, at 5 p.m., the Center for Digital Media will host a follow-up wine-and-cheese gathering for faculty to learn more about how iPads might work in their courses. If you are inspired by the lunch discussion, or simply interested in the concept, please stop by!
We hope this will be the first in a series of conversations about an array of teaching technologies, from virtual museums, podcasts, and flip cameras, through smart pens, electronic journals, and clickers, so please keep an eye out for further announcements.
