The Student Union is hosting “A Conversation on Becoming a More Inclusive Campus Community” on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Jardine Room.
Since the beginning of the semester, posters, and chalkings have appeared on campus describing acts of intolerance and bias and calling for action to end discrimination. At the Student Forum students are encouraged to share their concerns and issues related to discrimination and harassment and to consider ways we can eliminate exclusion and intolerance on our campus.
John Day, Ph.D., and Mark McCarthy, Ph.D., will be present, along with members of the Diversity Steering Committee, to listen to and engage in the conversation with students.
The event is co-sponsored by the Vice Presidents for Academic and Student Affairs.
