Possible DIRECTV programming disruption
John Carroll’s digital programming provider, DIRECTV, is in negotiations with News Corp/Fox, and there is a possibility that Fox programming may be disrupted. If there is a disruption, it is expected to be short-lived. If a new deal is not reached, DIRECTV may be forced to suspend the channels as early as Monday, November 1.
The channels impacted are FX, National Geographic Channel, Fox regional sports networks, Fox Movie Channel, Speed, Fuel TV, Fox Soccer, and Fox Deportes. Please note, Fox News and local Fox station programming will not be affected.
Information Technology Services will keep the campus community apprised as additional information becomes available.
