The John Carroll University Hillel Student Organization and the Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion invite you to participate in the Week of Spiritual Beauty from Monday, December 5, through Friday, December 9, 2011.
Five days, five actions!
Day one (Monday, December 5): Beautification of the Neighborhood
Pick up trash, fix up a messy area, or help in a greenhouse to prepare plants for spring gardens. You can even clean your dorm room and/or office!
Day two (Tuesday, December 6): Express Personal/Communal Gratitude
Identify a person who has had a positive, meaningful impact on your life and was never thanked, and write and send a letter of gratitude to that person. You can also write letters of gratitude to public servants in a particular field: the troops, firefighters, police officers, etc.
Day three (Wednesday, December 7): Peace in the Home
Take a positive step toward creating a more peaceful living environment, whether at school or back home, by calling a friend or family member.
Day four (Thursday, December 8): Dignified Speech
Today, focus on upgrading your speech, even if only temporarily. If you curse a lot, avoid cursing. If not, avoid gossiping and thinking poorly of others.
Day five (Friday, December 9): Peaceful Interpersonal Relationships
Greet everyone with a friendly smile today.
