Attention biology majors: MFT exam required for graduation

Attention biology majors: students graduating with a major in any area of biology in January 2012, May 2012, August 2012, or January 2013 are required to take the Biology Major Field Test comprehensive exam.

One of the graduation requirements for students majoring in biology, environmental science, and cell and molecular biology is to take and pass the Biology Major Field Test (MFT). Students planning to graduate in January 2012, May 2012, August 2012, or January 2013 and who have not taken and passed the exam will not be permitted to graduate.

The Biology MFT is a standardized, national exam from Educational Testing Service and is used at more than 300 colleges and universities around the country. The Biology MFT exam will be given from 3:30-6 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 in the Donahue Auditorium in the Dolan Science Center.
