Fatima Family Center thanks JCU for our generosity and support
Campus Ministry sponsored our annual Giving Tree gift collection to benefit Fatima Family Center & Migrant Refugee Services in December 2011. With the donations from the JCU community Fatima was able to provide 148 families with gifts for 362 children. In addition, they provided support for 11 moms residing at Matt Talbot for Women (a residential treatment facility) and were able to provide gift cards for 45 senior citizens in their senior program.
Here are a few comments from Fatima Family Center Director, LaJean Ray:
“I am humbled by the generosity of your students and your staff. The outpouring of love and charity especially this year was so appreciated. Many parents told me that this was the only Christmas their family would have. Parents were excited and so very grateful.”
