Individually-directed Ignatian Retreat

During Ignatian Heritage Week, the Ignatian Spirituality Institute invites you to consider making an individually-directed Ignatian Retreat in daily life. This is an introductory experience of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius, which is the foundation underlying all Jesuit mission endeavors, including everything we are about here at JCU.

Your commitment is to meet weekly with someone who will guide your prayer for a period of eight weeks. You will also commit yourself to daily prayer following the guidance of your director. The meetings typically last from 45 minutes to one hour. The retreat begins in mid-February and continues into April.

Meetings will be at John Carroll at a time and place that is convenient for you. Spiritual directors are current interns or alumni of the Ignatian Spirituality Institute.

In order for us to accommodate your schedule, we ask that you fill out an application. Please contact Carol Polish at extension 1599 or cpolish@jcu.edu, or stop by the ISI Office: Room 5 in the AD Building.

Please return the application form to Carol by February 8.
