Tracing Your Roots: African American Genealogy at Grasselli Library

You’ve seen the hit show on NBC, Who Do You Think You Are. You’ve read announcements promoting the library’s Ancestry database. Maybe you’ve even started researching your own family tree. Now, we invite you to join us for an African American genealogy workshop on Sunday, February 19, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the Grasselli Library e-classroom.

As we celebrate Black History month, Grasselli Library is pleased to partner with Heights Libraries to bring local genealogy expert Derrick Mason back to campus. He will explore use of the Ancestry database (Library Edition), along with demonstrating how to search slave records and more. He will begin with an instructional session, followed by a question and answer period and hands-on practice.

Space is limited, so R.S.V.P. today.
