Today: Rare finds! A workshop on rare and collectible books
Learn book collecting basics from Larry Rakow, owner of Wonderland Books and past-president of the Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society (NOBS), on Thursday, April 12, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Mackin Room of the Grasselli Library.
In this workshop Larry will provide pointers on:
- What makes a book valuable.
- Evaluating the condition of an old or rare book.
- Identifying a first edition.
- Sources for old, used, and rare books.
- How to care for old and rare books.
Bring your own collectible books or family treasures and Larry will help you evaluate them!
