Major road construction at Richmond and Fairmount
Starting Monday, June 11, Fairmount Boulevard will be closed to through traffic at Richmond Road for most of the summer. Estimated project completion is August 17, weather permitting.
All four lanes of Richmond Road’s concrete will be removed. Traffic on Richmond Road will be maintained with one lane of traffic in each direction.
Traffic will be diverted on the west side of this intersection (closer to JCU) to South Green Road and then Shaker Boulevard. Traffic on the east side of the intersection (toward I-271) will be diverted to Brainard Road and then to Shaker Boulevard.
Detour signs will be posted; Shaker Boulevard or Cedar Road are recommended as alternate routes.
