Fulbright competition

The competition for Fulbright Fellowships for research and/or teaching English abroad is now open. The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree before the end of the summer. The fellowship is for one year to be spent in almost any foreign country. In most countries it is possible to teach English.

If you are interested in applying, go to and click on U.S. Students. Read about all of the possibilites and then contact Elizabeth Swenson, Ph.D., the Fulbright program advisor, at before the end of the first week of classes. This fellowship is highly competitive and very prestigious. Most years one JCU senior or a recent graduate has been awarded a Fulbright.
