The Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion and the Student Activities Late Night Programming Grant present Diana Yanez, comedian on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 10 p.m. in the Marinello Little Theater.
Comedian and actress Diana Yanez tells a powerful and fantastically funny account of growing up Cuban, Catholic, and closeted in Miami! Her one-woman show is based on her life experiences. She has appeared Off-Broadway in Margaret Cho’s Sensuous Woman as well as with Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, and Rosie O’Donnell.
This event is part of the Dr. Shirley S. Seaton Cultural Awareness Series, an invitation to an exploration of cultural differences and cultural issues of concern. All events aim to illuminate various cultural perspectives and deepen understandings of ways in which we are all diverse yet interconnected. All events open to the public.
