Take the Ohio Freedom Tour over Fall Break

Looking for something interesting to do over the upcoming Fall Break?

You are invited to apply to participate in the Ohio Freedom Tour. This trip will take students to historic sites around Ohio associated with the Underground Railroad, including a visit to the National Freedom Center in Cincinnati. The students selected to go will leave from campus at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, and return to campus the night of Saturday, October 13.

There is no cost for students to participate, as the funds to cover the cost of the Ohio Freedom Tour have been generously provided by the Mandel Grant for Diversity and Inclusion. However, students who are selected to attend will need to pay a $50 deposit, which they will get back when they board the van to leave for the trip.

If you are interested in taking part in the Ohio Freedom Tour, please email Kyle O’Dell at kodell@jcu.edu by Wednesday, September 26. Eight students will be selected to participate, and those who are selected will be notified by Friday, September 28.
