Recycle your old cell phones

So did you get that “must have” new cell phone and you don’t know what to do with your “old” cell phone?

Don’t throw those discarded cell phones into a junk drawer, or worse yet, the garbage. Improper disposal is a serious threat to our environment: every cell phone contains no less than eight hazardous materials that can leach into groundwater and soil. Instead, recycle your “old” phones through the MailCenter!

Simply put them in an envelope and send it through campus mail to the MailCenter. We will send them to a business that will erase all your information, and reuse them or dispose of them in an environmentally safe way. It’s a good way to go green!

The monies made from recycling cell phones will be used to send non forward-able magazines to military serving our country.

It’s a win/win situation. You have peace of mind knowing you’re not harming the environment and the military will benefit from a connection to home.
