Samantha Cocco ’09, an employment training specialist and volunteer coordinator for the Cleveland Catholic Charities Office of Migration and Refugee Services, will speak about issues facing refugees tonight at 5 p.m. in the Dolan Auditorium.
Approximately 1.8 million refugees have resettled in the United States since 1980, when formal resettlement began. Topics to be discussed include what it means to be a refugee, how groups are selected for resettlement, and what domestic agencies do to help with resettlement.
