Today: WatchART at Grasselli Library

A contingent of artists from Art Books Cleveland (ABC) will be on campus Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Mackin Room of Grasselli Library. This event is part of the month-long Octovest celebrating paper and book arts.

Visit the WatchART to learn about book making, see examples of artists books, and take part in creating your own pamphlet or panel book.

Artists include:

  • Cathy Anson and Annette Breth, making sewn journals
  • Phyllis Brody, altering books and making old pages into new ones
  • Margaret Bakke, sewing up case bound books
  • Gene Epstein, folding, cutting, finding surprises behind each cover
  • Pat Pitingolo, altering books with collage, paint, or stitching
  • Ellen Strong, conservator/restorer, making tiny books to wear
