Today: Chris Roark Memorial Mass
The John Carroll community will remember Chris Roark, Ph.D., and reflect on the contributions he made to the University at a memorial mass on Thursday, October 18, at 5:05 p.m. The mass will be held at Saint Francis Chapel and will be followed by a reception in the Jardine Room of the Lombardo Student Center. Dr. Roark, who was a member of the English Department for 22 years, passed away unexpectedly this past June.
During the summer we began collecting stories about Dr. Roark, which we will present, in a book, to his wife, Amy, and his three children, Owen, Vincent, and Rose. If you would like to share your memories of Dr. Roark for the book and have not yet had the chance, you still have time. Please send them (in a Word attachment) to Bernadette Sferry (bsferry@jcu.edu) by Friday, September 7.
