Ten Thousand Villages of Cleveland Heights, JCU Campus Ministry, the Fair Trade Student Committee, and the Center for Service and Social Action present a free screening of “The Dark Side of Chocolate” on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Mackin Room of the library.
“The Dark Side of Chocolate” reveals new evidence that child labor and human trafficking continue in the cocoa fields for millions of children, nearly a decade after the major players in the cocoa industry promised to resolve these problems. After the film, we will discuss the issues and actions you can take, including increasing your purchases of fair trade chocolate, and sample fair trade chocolate and hot cocoa.
