Today: “Night of the Living Dead” film screening

John Carroll Humans vs. Zombies, the Carroll Cinema Society, and the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion present a screening of “Night of the Living Dead” on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 p.m. in the Jardine Room.

When unexpected radiation raises the dead, a microcosm of average Americans have to battle flesh-eating zombies in George A. Romero’s landmark 1968 horror film. The film has grossed over 12 million and inspired a cycle of apocalyptic splatter films while setting the standard for finding horror in the mundane. This subversive film also broke cultural ground by featuring the first Black hero in the history of American horror film.
