Today: The 2012 Miller Lecture in Classics

How did texts from the ancient world manage to survive millennia without the aid of thumb drives or cloud storage? On Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m., Dr. Patricia Rosenmeyer (professor of classics, University of Wisconsin-Madison) will speak about the journeys of various texts in her lecture, “Monks, Mummies, and Potshards: Textual Transmission from the Ancient World.”

The lecture, in Dolan Auditorium, is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served! This event is sponsered by the Miller Chair Fund, Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures, and Women’s and Gender Studies. For further information, please contact Dr. Ehrhardt at extension 1571.
