John Carroll will be hosting Melinda Sykes, director of children’s initiatives in the office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and chair of the Ohio Human Trafficking Commission, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jardine Room of the Lombardo Student Center.
Sykes will be speaking to students and the community about the Attorney General office’s efforts to understand the extent of the human trafficking problem in Ohio, find ways to help victims and prosecute traffickers. Ideas will also be shared with the audience regarding what they can do to help. The event is open to the public.
