Study abroad opportunities in Italy

The JCU at Vatican City Study Abroad Program, sponsored by the Bishop Anthony M. Pilla Program in Italian American Studies, was designed to provide students the opportunity to take John Carroll University Core classes. It gives students the chance to study in Vatican City while living in Rome and experiencing the Italian culture while also learning Italian. Undergraduate students are able to earn John Carroll credits, just as if courses were taken on the John Carroll campus. Students can take from 15-18 credit hours at our host institution, the Pontificia Università Urbaniana, to fulfill the requirements of the JCU Academic Core.

In addition to the JCU at Vatican City Program, there are other opportunities to study in Italy through the Bishop Pilla Program. We offer a Summer Institute and a Spring Break Study Abroad Program.
