Today: The Washington Center for Internships

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, a representative from The Washington Center (TWC) will be visiting John Carroll to discuss internship opportunities in Washington, D.C. and London.

TWC has been partnering with colleges and universities to help students pursue internship opportunities in Washington, D.C. since 1975. Their program is built on three core components:

  1. A substantive internship experience. Students from all majors and backgrounds are welcome to participate in this program.
  2. An academic course, which students choose from among at least 30 offered each semester.
  3. The Leadership Forum: A series of programming activities like a dynamic speaker series, civic engagement project and portfolio to encapsulate their work – all of which are designed to complement the experience.

Programs include Political Leadership; Law and Criminal Justice; Advocacy, Service and the Arts; Health, Science and Technology; International Affairs; Business and Global Trade.

All participants receive JCU credit. To set up a classroom visit, please contact the Center for Global Education at 216.397.4320 or email kschiffer@jcu.edu.
