Today: African American Read Around

African American Read Around
Friday, Feb. 22
12-1:30 p.m.
Jardine Room, D.J. Lombardo Student Center

The goal of this program is to make the African American literacy a traditional part of Black History Month activities at the University. John Carroll University is just one of the millions of organizations of all ethnic groups, from 50 states, the District of Columbia, the West Indies, and African countries to participate.

So what do you do:

  • Bring a select book or poem(s) authored by African American(s).
  • Bring your own brown bag lunch.

That’s it! The idea is to share texts that have inspired our work in and outside the classroom.

Dessert and drinks will be served.

Sponsored by the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion.
