The Center for Global Education and the JCU Peace, Justice, and Human Rights Program present an evening of Irish music and storytelling with legendary singer, songwriter, and peace activist Tommy Sands, “The Bard of Peace,” on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium.
Sands will be performing his new program “Arising From The Troubles. Through the Eyes of a Troubadour, A Northern Ireland Perspective.” This 75-minute historical program, through story and song, revolves around the conflict in Northern Ireland between Catholics and Protestants. The message of this program is “overcoming division-seeking peace within differences.”
This event is free to the JCU community. Learn more here.
