Today: If a student tells you about an incident of sexual violence, relationship violence, or stalking, how do you respond?

John Carroll’s Violence Prevention and Action Center is offering a workshop on steps to take to support students in these situations. The workshop will be offered Tuesday, March 19, 3:30-5 p.m. in the O’Dea room.

Facilitated by Sherri Crahen, dean of students; Amanda Rolf, coordinator of VPAC; and Kirsti Mouncey, vice president of client and clinical Services, Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, the faculty workshop will cover:

  • Mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Reflections on our initial words and actions.
  • Resources available on and off campus.
  • Insights into the impact of trauma and the experience of survivors.
