Celebration of Scholarship Monday events

Show your support of the academic life of John Carroll University! You are invited to attend a variety of events across campus the week of April 8-11, 2013, for the 12th annual A Celebration of Scholarship!

Enjoy the artistic expressions of the University community all week in the Tully Atrium and Gallery in the Grasselli Library for the Art Exhibit featuring work by members of the JCU community. The Art Exhibit is a juried show, which showcases the artistic works of students, faculty, and staff.

Today’s events include:

Be a part of the Holocaust Remembrance Day Events from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Science Center.

  • Memorial Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. led by David Markovich, Founding President, Hillel at JCU.
  • Presentation at 2 p.m. – “Am I My Neighbor’s Keeper? Dynamics of Moral Courage for Holocaust Rescuers” by Fern Ruth Levy, director and founder of the Anne Frank Moral Courage Project of Cleveland.

The Celebration will host a Book Signing by Marian Morton, Ph.D., professor emeritus of history: “John Carroll University” in the O’Connell Reading Room of the Dolan Science Center, from 5-6 p.m. Books will be available for purchase.

The Celebration invites you to attend the Poster Session in the Muldoon Atrium in the Dolan Science Center from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The posters will feature work from a variety of faculty and students across many disciplines.

The twelfth annual A Celebration of Scholarship is hosted by the Provost and Academic Vice President’s Office at John Carroll University.
