Have you ever witnessed an act of bias, wanted to intervene but could not think of what to do in the moment? Unfortunately, this is the experience of too many people, causing pain for those witnessing and/or facing bias as a result of bias on the basis of race, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic or national origin, disability or veteran status. It is important as a University that we stand up to bias. To learn techniques to intervene in these situations, the Diversity Steering Committee would like to invite you to join us for a bystander intervention workshop.
