Today: Tuohy Lecture Series

The Fall 2013 Tuohy Lectures Series – October 13 – 15, 2013 – will feature three lectures on the topic “Exploring Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations.” The lecture series will be delivered by Scott Alexander, Ph.D., associate professor of Islam and director of the Catholic-Muslim Studies Program at The Catholic Theological Union, and the Fall 2013 Tuohy Chair Fellow in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at JCU.

All lectures will take place in the Donahue Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

  • Today’s lecture: “Islam 2.0: The Messengers of God and the muslim in Us All.”
  • October 14 Lecture: “Islam and Muslims in the Domestic and International Context: Moving beyond Media Sound Bites.”
  • October 15 Lecture: ” ‘Which Religion Will Win?’: The Problem of Triumphalism in Christian-Muslim Relations.”
