The Basic Computer Exam (formerly known as the BI Test Out) will be given from Jan. 6-17, 2014. If you are interested in studying business, you should consider taking the exam. You must also be very knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office 2010 applications.
The exam helps you decide which basic computer classes you need to take. Passing a section waives the BI level pre-requisite for any course in the Boler School of Business. However, you do not receive course credit. For example, if you pass the Excel Test, you would be waived for classes requiring BI 107 as a pre-requisite.
The exam is administered online. Please note that you may not use an Apple computer – it must be done on a PC. You may take it anytime beginning Jan. 6, but it must be finished by Jan. 17. Please see Ann Buda in SB 210 of the Boler School of Business to get the actual instructions. If you have any questions, you can email Ann Buda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
