Honduras Immersion Vitamin Drive

John Carroll University, we need your help!

The Honduras Immersion team needs your help in securing vitamin donations to ensure a successful medical mission immersion to Honduras this May.

Vitamins are one of the core focuses of the group’s medical work in Honduras. In past immersions, a three-month supply of vitamins has been given to every individual who comes to the JCU brigade – man, woman, and child – to supplement their severely restricted diet (regardless of their need for other medicine). The goal for this year’s immersion is to increase the per person supply of vitamins to six months. This is a huge increase, but it is achievable with your help!!

You can help by donating vitamins in any of the following five categories:

  1. Prenatal vitamins for expecting mothers
  2. Infant vitamins (and/ or infant formula)
  3. Children’s vitamins – you will likely find vitamins sold as follows: 2-3 y/o, 4-12 y/o, and 13& up (teen vitamins).
  4. Adult vitamins – either general vitamins or gender-specific is perfectly acceptable.
  5. Poly Vitamin Drops – this is an infant solution marketed as “Poly Vitamin Drops.”

One bottle or five, any donation is welcome and greatly appreciated! Donations can be dropped off at the Campus Ministry main office, the Center for Service and Social Action, or the Biology Department main office. Boxes will be clearly marked for The Honduras Vitamin Drive.

Please contact Michael Goggins (mgoggins15@jcu.edu) or Kristen Gittinger (kgittinger15@jcu.edu), Honduras immersion student coordinators, with any questions. To read more about the Honduras immersion, please visit the website. Thank you for your support!
