TO: John Carroll Faculty and Staff
FROM: John T. Day, Provost and Academic Vice President
DATE: April 28, 2014
SUBJECT: University Planning Group Community Meeting – Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 2 p.m., in Dolan Auditorium
As the President indicated last week in his End-of-the-Year message, there will be a general University Planning Group Community Meeting this Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Science Center. Cookies and beverages will be available.
This meeting will consist of two parts: a brief report to share information, followed by small group discussions to hear community input.
The first part will provide an overview of campus planning activities, most related to the work of the University Planning Group, over the last seven years. Highlights will include a review of the APTF process and the Higher Learning Commission self-study and peer visit. We then invite everyone to participate in small group discussions (A202/A203) in preparation for a new strategic planning process to be led in the fall by Jerry DeSanto, the new executive vice president. Participants will be asked to identify the enduring strengths of John Carroll as well as brainstorm possible new directions for the University.
I look forward to your participation this coming Wednesday.
