The Audubon Society of Greater Cleveland is holding their 10th annual breeding bird surveys of the Novak sanctuary (both east and west of Townline Road) and the Aurora sanctuary in June…starting at 5:45 a.m. (need to be on trail by 6 a.m.).
…yeah, we know: that’s pretty early.
Much of the bird detection is done by ear, and we leave at the early time because the birds are most vocal early. The surveys typically last around two-three hours.
We need people to record sightings and help detect species. Less experienced people interested in this unique experience are also welcome.
