Today: Canvas Learning Management System Getting Started Webinar

The Canvas Learning Management System Implementation is proceeding well. Canvas has been integrated with our authentication system as well as a number of external services such as Pearson MyLabs/Mastering, McGraw Hill Campus, and others. Banner integration is underway, including the automatic loading of courses, faculty, and students.

As we prepare to launch the new system, a number of training opportunities are being offered:

• A two-hour getting started webinar will be offered on Friday, July 11, from 2–4 p.m.
  • You can participate in the webinar either on campus or online (call information at the bottom of this message).
  • The Jardine Room in the D.J. Lombardo Student Center has been reserved for on-campus participants.
• A Canvas Trainer will be on-site on Wednesday, Aug. 6, to provide enhanced hands-on training.
  • The agenda will be created based upon feedback from the July 11 webinar.
  • BR43 has been reserved for this training.
• Weekly quick-start classes will be offered by the Center for Digital Media beginning the week of Monday, July 14.
  • Watch Inside JCU for more details about these classes.

Further updates will be sent as the system implementation speeds toward completion.
