The Department of Theology & Religious Studies will be hosting the Rev. Peter Nguyen, SJ, for a campus interview on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17. Fr. Nguyen will make his research presentation on Friday, October 17 at 11 a.m. in room AD226. All members of the JCU community are encouraged to attend.
Fr. Nguyen is completing his PhD in Theology (anticipated winter 2015) at St. Michael’s College of the University of Toronto. His dissertation topic is “The Christian Martyr as Mystic and Political Resister: The Case of Alfred Delp.” He earned a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (2009) and a Master of Divinity degree (2008) at Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, a Master of Social Philosophy (2002) from Loyola University Chicago, and a BA (1996) from the University of Chicago.
Please take time out of your morning to hear Fr. Nguyen’s presentation on Alfred Delp, SJ, a leading figure in the Catholic resistance to Nazism who was martyred by the Nazi regime.
