Today: Who Do you Say That I Am? Jesus in Islam and Christianity

Jesus is among the most revered figures in both Christianity and Islam. In both religions, he is the Messiah, the one who will bring peace at the end of time. For Christians, he is the Son of God. For Muslims, he is one of the Five Great Prophets. Please join us for a special conversation between Edward Hahnenberg, Ph.D. who is Jack and Mary Jane Breen Chair in Catholic Systematic Theology and Zeki Saritoprak, Ph.D. the Bediüzzaman Said Nursi Chair in Islamic Studies. All are invited to join in as JCU Professors Hahnenberg and Zeki Saritoprak discuss the importance of Jesus in their religions and in their lives. Following the event, Professor Saritoprak will be available to sign copies of his highly acclaimed new book “Islam’s Jesus.” The event will take place on November 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Center for Science and Technology.
