Today: Veterans Day: Celebration of Service

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the JCU Student Veteran’s Group and ROTC program will celebrate the honorable service of local veterans, including those at JCU, on Tuesday, Nov. 11. We would like to provide an opportunity for all members of JCU and the local community to show their support of veteran service in one of many ways:

  1. Comment on what “duty,” “honor,” “service,” “loyalty,” “courage,” and “commitment” mean to you at Veteran’s Day posters that are posted throughout campus.
  2. View the “Veteran Story” rolling presentation that highlights veteran accomplishments throughout history and profiles local veterans at the Veterans Booth.
  3. Participate in an interfaith Prayer Service at 11 a.m. in Saint Francis Chapel.
  4. Thank a veteran as identified with a yellow ribbon pin and share an American flag provided at the veteran booth in the LSC Atrium.

The Veterans Booth showing the Veteran story will be in the LSC Atrium from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 11, 2014. Flags for sharing, maps of the service posters, and ribbons/snacks for all veterans will all be provided at the veteran booth. Please plan to stop by during the day and honor our local veterans.
