Do you do your own taxes or want to learn? Love to crunch numbers? Love to help those in need?
The Center for Service and Social Action and the Boler School of Business Department of Accountancy are still looking to recruit and train students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in the federal Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which helps low- to moderate-income individuals and families prepare their income tax returns without professional fees.
Volunteers will be asked to attend a training on January 31 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and can choose from the following dates in spring 2015 to volunteer: February 14, 21 and March 14, 28 and April 11. Visit http://sites.jcu.edu/service/pages/special/vita/ for more information and to register.
