Have you been looking for a way to add a little visual appeal to your teaching? Are you curious if using infographics could tell your story more clearly? Look no further than the Data Visualization workshop being held at Grasselli Library! Librarians Amy Wainwright and Jaleh Fazelian will teach about Piktochart, Tableau, Taxego, and Tiki Toki. This workshop will be a day-long event on Saturday, February 21 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Library’s E-Classroom. Please bring data or other materials that you are currently working on to the workshop to demo each program. Participants will receive a $500 stipend for attendance, in addition to a catered breakfast and lunch.
RSVP by January 31 to Jaleh (jfazelian@jcu.edu or extension 1509). This workshop is an activity of the McGregor Fund-supported grant project, “Engaging the World: Education for Contemporary Global Citizenship.”
