Today: Lunch and Conversation with Nina Turner
JCU faculty and staff are invited to meet former State Senator and Cuyahoga Community College professor Nina Turner for conversation and lunch on Friday, March 13 at 1 p.m. in the Dolan Reading Room. After serving as a staffer for former State Senator and Toledo Mayor Rhine McLin and Cleveland Mayor Michael R. White, Ms. Turner was elected to represent Cleveland’s highest voting ward in Cleveland City Council and was later appointed and elected to the Ohio Senate, where she served until the end of 2014. Most recently, Ms. Turner was candidate for Ohio Secretary of State and is widely viewed as a potential candidate for Cleveland Mayor. In addition to teaching at Tri-C, Ms. Turner is currently chair of Political Engagement and Executive Committee member of the Ohio Democratic Party.
