Come meet the Diplomat in Residence of the U.S. Dept of State – Director Michelle Jones

When: Thursday, March 19, 2:30 p.m.
Where: Donahue Auditorium, Dolan Science Center
Who: ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS, NO MATTER WHAT MAJOR

Director Michelle Jones will talk to students and answer questions like:

What does the State Department do?
What is it like to work for the State Department in the U.S. and abroad?
How does the State Department apply diplomacy and international relations every day?
What types of jobs or internships are available and what is the application process like?

Diplomats in Residence (DIRs) are career Foreign Service Officers located throughout the U.S. who provide guidance and advice on careers, internships and fellowships to students and professionals in the communities they serve. DIRs are available to answer questions and share insight with those interested in Foreign and Civil Service careers, internships and fellowships.
