A reorganization within the Division of Student Affairs has resulted in the establishment of a new office – The Office of Student Engagement. This office will coordinate initiatives that promote student development, an increased sense of community, campus involvement and student connections through New Student Orientation, Leadership Programs, Student Activities, Liturgical Music and Musical Arts and Commuter and Transfer Programs. Dr. Kyle O’Dell has been promoted to lead this new office and will serve as the Senior Director of Student Engagement beginning August 1. Lisa Ramsey will serve as the Associate Director of Student Engagement and Dr. Cynthia Caporella will continue to serve as the Director of Liturgical Music and Musical Arts. They will be joined by Janet Paradise who will serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Office of Student Development.
Also beginning August 1, Lisa Brown Cornelius, Director of Residence Life will serve as the John Carroll Administrative liaison to JCU Dining Services and work closely with Dave Turska, General Manager of JCU Dining Services. Previously, Donna Byrnes, Associate Dean of Students served in this capacity.
