Today: Auditions for the Main Stage Production and the One Acts

Auditions will be held for the following productions in Kulas and Marinello on September 9 and 10 from 7-9 p.m., and September 11 at 3-5 p.m. Scripts can be picked up from OC 45.

MAIN STAGE:
“Six Characters in Search of an Author” by Luigi Pirandello
A classic comedy-drama, an early modern play-within-a-play from 1922. Six characters, abandoned by their playwright, barge into a rehearsal for a different play. They demand that they be allowed to reenact their story to see how it ends. The only problem? The characters and the actors who hope to play them onstage can’t agree on how to best perform the story. This is a playful and at times chilling examination of the nature of reality and art, of theatre and of life.
Cast: 15-20 Actors

Audition Times: September 9 and 10 from 7-9 p.m., and September 11 at 3-5 p.m. in the Kulas Auditorium.
Scripts can be picked up from OC 45.

THE DENNIS LANE STUDENT DIRECTED ONE-ACTS:
“Actor’s Nightmare” by Christopher Durang
George is just a normal guy – so why does everyone think he’s the understudy for a missing lead? The Actor’s Nightmare is a comedy about George’s inadvertent acting debut and the cast that makes it possible.
Cast: 4 males and 3 females

Dost Pity Me Withpett by Samuel French
A chance meeting between two actresses in an aisle of canned goods leads to a scene of Shakespearean proportions, pretentiousness, revenge and understanding in this wickedly absurd language farce.
Cast: 2 females

Audition Times: September 9 and 10 from 7-9 p.m., and September 11 at 3-5 p.m. in the Marinello Little Theater
