Next week will be the first Safety Week at John Carroll University. Events have been planned for each day:
Monday, September 14 at 4:30 p.m.: The Great Escape
Join us at Dolan Residence Hall for a chance to learn about fire safety in a fire exit exercise with UHPD, followed by a cookout!
Tuesday, September 15, from 7:30-9 p.m.: You’ve Been Robbed
Learn through a passive program about the importance of security and locking your door.
Wednesday, September 16, at 7 p.m.: Empower Yourself
Come to the Murphy Hall Lobby to learn about techniques to empower yourself through our Consent Policy, basic self-defense techniques, and learning how to address street harassment. Light refreshments will be provided.
Thursday, September 17, from 5-6 p.m.: Progressive Party
Join the Residence Life Staff and Fraternity Organizations to have a mocktail party 0n the Quad.
Friday, September 18, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Street Smarts
As you walk through the LSC Atrium, stop and try the Distracted Driver Simulator and learn about the “It Can Wait” program. JCUPD will also be discussing safety around pedestrian traffic and crossings.
