Last Day to Register – Free Trip to the Plain Dealer
Have you ever wanted to get a closer look at the inner workings of a news organization? On October 1, from 1:30-4:30 p.m., the Russert Department of Communication is sponsoring a free trip to the Northeast Ohio Media Group (Plain Dealer, cleveland.com, Sun News). You will be able to meet five journalists (including Ryllie Danylko ’14), learn about the news process — particularly in an election year — and get a tour of the site. All majors are welcomed!
Transportation from John Carroll will be provided. RSVP to ljohnson@jcu.edu no later than Tuesday, September 29.
This is part of News Engagement Day, a national event that the JCU community will take part in on Tuesday, October 6, when students and faculty will be encouraged to email, [re]tweet, like, share, and engage with current events.
